I'm looking for help here to identify a Phillies prospect. Its a tough one as the player wore jersey number 114 during Spring Training 1971. I've tried a few places among them, the baseball reference guide. If its there, I couldn't find it. I picked up the jersey a few years back and this past year a 1971 Spring training pic of a player wearing 114. The numbers and P in the pic match up perfectly with my jersey. The odds of finding the pic were astronomical. I'm hoping the name not quite as much.

Thanks for any and all help!

Hey ROG. Would it be possible for you to post the photo? That might help (perhaps not a lot) in identifying the player.

1971 AAA team roster might be a good place to start.

I've seen that jersey style before. It must be a longtime spring and/or minor league design. On his 1959 Topps cad, pitcher Bob Conley has a similar jersey on. I can't get the photo to copy and paste on here, however.

From early wire and press photos I've seen, this style jersey was worn in the 50's into the early 70's. The numbers were block style probably into the late 60's. Some negatives I've gotten show the small p style hats and helmets the Phillies started wearing in 1970. The negative of the player I'm looking to identify was from 1971. Appreciate the discussion and thanks for the picture of the Conley card. I had not seen that.
