Don't know what happened to my Smoltz bat, but here are gamers of the others. I get my auto'd baseballs painted, so they are all signed. The GU ones are unsigned, they are from MLB. They are from before they were identified by the actual pitch, they are just from these games. I'm willing to sell/trade the GU balls if anyone needs one.

There was one on eBay that sold a few months back. The seller might still have it, so maybe you can ask him. :-)

I have Pedro's glove from the 1999 & 2000 Cy Young seasons. Those years are a huge part of the reason Pedro made the HOF today. I was able to get it signed early 2014. Now I need to have him add "HOF" on it!

Nope, it's not mine. I can't find it either but I want to say it went for $750 or so. It was a 2009 MLB auth'd bat with the 125th anniversary stamp.

I'm can't believe smoltz made it first ballot with 89%. There's other pitchers who only got 30-40% and smoltz wasn't two times the votes better then then.

Yeah, but Schilling & Mussina weren't teammates of Maddux and Glavine, nor did they end up pitching in relief to pick up free saves.

Seriously, I think it's ridiculous that he anyone uses "first to get 200 wins and 150 saves" as a justification for Smoltz being in the HOF. That particular combination shows how arbitrary wins and saves are. If Eck didn't decide to retire at 43 (perhaps he finds 43 lucky), he could have chased 10 more saves and three more wins to be the first with 100 CGs, 200 wins and 400 saves.

Smoltz was very good, but he benefits greatly from ancillary aspects of the game. He might not deserve to get in on his numbers, but I'm actually glad he got in, since that takes one more name off the ballot.

No, I would leave the glove as you have it. Signature is enough, otherwise, HOF post dates the glove and it loses the authenticate feel of that year.

I have 3 Greg Maddux Cy Young year gloves, 93-95 and only got him to sign them. (even though he wanted them back). I had a 92' I bought at auction but found it to be a fraud.

Please share what happened when Maddux signed them, I'm curious to hear the story.

Top 90 of all pitchers in MLB history in two major categories and that's not good enough? We'll agree to disagree. Eck is in the HOF as well, so those 10 saves weren't necessary for his admittance. Plus, he was one of the big 3 on what would have been a 1990's dynasty if not for Mariano Rivera and the Twins luck in 1991. A real argument could be made if not for Mo, the Braves win 4 or 5 titles.

I agree however that wins are almost as worthless a stat as ASG appearances. I am also in the camp that playing 20 seasons and almost 3000 games to wind up with just a smidge past 3000 hits doesn't entitle you to HOF entry either. However, Craig Biggio needs to thanks any living relatives for such genes! Hell, I'm only in my 30's and have a bum knee that would have ended my career. Stupid ancestors :p
