Just read this article. Be interesting to see if the Hall partners with anyone going forward and what the future holds for Grey Flannel.

Not speaking of Grey or any other auction specifically, but I wonder if a day will come that a big house does an auction, collects proceeds from bidders and then files bankruptcy. Hope I never see it!

Have any of NBA game used items with Grey Flannel/Basketball Hall of Fame LOAs ever come into question in terms of authenticity? If so, can someone post some examples? Thank you.

It's happened. American Memb. owed me 26k. They claimed bankruptcy and I never saw a penny.

The items that they had consigned to them didn't actually belong to them, so how was the bankruptcy proceeding settled? Did you file a claim against the company in bankruptcy court as a creditor? Were the unsold items returned to consignors?

I would assume they sold, collected money and shipped the consigned items and then filed bankruptcy, never paying the consignor.

Anybody get the Grey Flannel catalog? I have about ten items going. Bidding seems to be down somewhat. Can't understand why Grey wouldn't pay the Hall unless they haven't got it. It was a win-win for everybody.

Oh for sure. Got a lawyer, we won, but you can't get money from them if they "don't" have it anymore. It sucked. But just know it can happen.
