Jackets from eBay seller: cfljackson

I noticed this evening that all of the jackets sold over the last two weeks as game used by cfljackson came from the Summer 2014 Huggins & Scott auction. I have no problem with a seller making a profit by breaking up a lot, but the seller claimed the items were sourced from Jose Molina (Yankees jackets) and a Blue Jays clubhouse employee.

Apparently all three stories are just that, as here are the listings where they all originated from:

Just something to consider when bidding on items attributed to people without any real basis for attribution: If the seller's story contradicts a recent auction, it's likely just a story without any merit.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting. I had noticed the Jays items on Ebay and had dismissed them as interesting but mostly retail and or minor league jackets (AIS and Goodman tagging).

Taking a look at the Jays lot from the AH listing, all the Jays jackets while certainly a solid buy at $140 are each incorrectly attributed as game or team worn. At best these are minor league worn (AIS, Goodman) and retail examples (Irwin and those tagged L and XL etc).

The hats are pro style and were availabe via retailers as well as apparently (from the images shown) correct for team use.

The AH made some generalizations and assumptions in my opinion and the Ebay seller went on to fabricate stories of use and association IMHO.

For the record, I did get the 1970 Red Sox flannel I won from him for $393, but for awhile he was giving me the run-around, saying Fedex "misplaced" the package and they couldn't find it for a week, yet there was no tracking number, etc. But I was persistent, told him I wasn't buying that story, and the jersey arrived safe and sound.

Hey guys, I joined this forum after finding this thread. I've been onto cfljackson for years now, after noticing that every month or so he lists a "screen-used" prop pack of "Red Apple Cigarettes" that he claims were used in the film Pulp Fiction. He's sold dozens of these packs over the years, despite the fact that this brand of cigarettes only shows up about two or three times in the whole movie. He sells them for about $250 each using the same photos and description, even though his listing states "you are bidding on the exact pack depicted." He most recently sold a pack on September 30th, and then went on to list them two more times since then. This has been going on for years. His story is that he obtained them from the movie's production designer over 20 years ago, but with his seemingly endless supply of these props it's obvious that he is counterfeiting them. It makes me wonder what else he is counterfeiting. I've reported him to eBay several times and they don't seem to care. Does anyone here have any ideas on how someone like this could be prosecuted for obvious fraud?
