I thought this was a pretty cool story as it involves my high school alma matter. The team's first year head coach has been able to add five former NFL players to his coaching staff.

As a side note, this is not the first time the school has employed a NFL alum in a coaching capacity. Former Pro Bowl running back Keith Byars coached the team for close to three seasons prior to his dismissal in 2011.

They're not exactly household names. Lol.

They're not exactly household names. Lol.

I'll give you that. But it's a great experience for those kids nonetheless. Four of the five have pro playing careers of five years or more. Two with Pro Bowl honors. You never know. It might open the door for someone who may not have previously been viewed as worth the chance.

That's pretty cool. It will be interesting to see how the team does.
