Was actually a style match but seller wording was misleading. Question was posed on ebay auction.

What's the point of stating 1986 WS style matched if Dykstra worn these same type of cleats during the 1985-89 season. I was able to find better photos of Dykstra wearing these same style cleats on getty images for 87,88, etc.

It only give a seller opportunity to state it may have been used during the 86 WS.

I don't agree with approach.

THis will be my last post on this ;D

The MEARS Letter of Opinion has a "Leap Of Faith" level of 0. Their comments on a no provenance item is:"THE METS WORE BLUE SHOES FROM 1985-89. (What an opening line). "GETTY IMAGES VERIFIES...DYKSTRA WORE PONY SHOES..."(I feel a lot better now). The math of their thinking doesn't equal authentic. How can the words,"attributed to"+"no provenance"="authentic"?http://www.angelfire.com/tx5/archie8/dykstrashoes5.jpg
