I recently acquired a bunch of Louisville Slugger Game Used Bats (guess they don't necessarily have to "game used" but at least described as "used bats".

This lot of 6 bats includes left to right:

(1) Billings BBC M110 Bicentennial (Knob - Hand Written - R M110 35)

(2) Chicago Stars (Knob - D2)

(3) Scott P89 (Knob - Hand Written Black Marker - Bold "6" underlined)

(4) Jennings (Knob - D89)

(5) Yankees C271 (Knob - Hand Written Black Marker - Marked out "10 or "16"

(6) Carl Albert JC P89

I just got these bats so I haven't done any research on them. Anyone know who "Scott" or "Jennings" might be? Any other important info that you may have concerning the bats would be appreciated.

Hugh Jennings Hall of Famer?

Scott 1983-1987
Jennings pre-1964, but need a better photo of the Hillerich logo to be sure of a period.

Beyond that, it could be anyone based upon what you've shown. Scott and Jennings are far from being unique names, and without player characteristics (where ball marks are, numbers on ends, tape/pine tar application info), it's impossible to guess at.

Bill Jennings St. Louis Browns, 1951?

It's very unlikely to be Hughie Jennings, since the bat stamp says Made in USA and has "Powerized" (introduced in the 20s). The bat would have been manufactured well after his playing career and within the final three years of his life.

Scott bat appears to have been used by a left-hander. There's a remote (highly doubtful) chance the bat was Donnie Scott's since he wore #6 in 1991, but that would seem odd to have a switch hitter with only left-hand usage on the bat... also, it would have been a good half decade after the bat was made.

Jennings looks like a 1961-64 era

Jennings is a 1961-64 model. No Jennings in MLB those seasons; there was a Charlie Jennings in the minors until 1962, so could be him.

The Scott is a 1986-89, so Donnie is a possibility. Could also be a minor league bat used by Donnie or another Scott.

I collect Scott bats (my last name), so if you consider selling it, LMK. Don't really care who used it -- just like bats with Scott on the barrel.

Thanks.
