Hmm, weird. It had 23hrs left when I posted this. Didn't know you could end an auction and let whoever is winning at the time be the actual winner.

I have won an item like that myself. I don't know why you would end it early either but I know it can be done. Just makes a shady bat even shadier if you ask me..

I have made offers to purchase an item for a certain dollar amount and have had sellers tell me they will not end the auction unless I am the high bidder. Seems they don't want to upset the other bidder(s) by ending an auction. Could have been what happened here - as I see there were 62 bids on the bat and the high bidder seemed to be bidding in smaller increments to become the high bidder.

I would imagine the high bidder made an offer and the seller ended the auction as sold to the highest bidder.
Doesn't mean the buyer bought it for the last price, usually it is a higher agreed upon price that the buyer will send on top of the shown price.
