Thought I had a buyer for my Deion Sanders game-used Braves 1994 jersey. He backed out at the last minute because it had no year tag. It did have a Dave Meidema COA from '95. Good enough for me.

Your take on the year tag issue. I thought they made jerseys to wear back then, not to resell to a provenance obsessed bunch of collectors we have become.

Dave

I have a 1994 Deion Braves gamer and will check too see what the tags look like. I can post images later today. From what I can remember my Braves Deion does not have a year tag but will check.

That would be great to see someone else's Sanders jersey.

Is this the same Sanders jersey that was "sold" then off the market? It got sold anyway?

The Russell road 1994 Braves gamers did not have a year tag.

My '94 Deon home does have a year tag as does my '93 McGriff blue. Barry of Ball 4(Lou Lampson's partner) made a bulk purchase of the Braves' jerseys.

I was sent photos of a 1994 road Deion that did, indeed, have a strip tag in the tail (first I've seen), so it appears that this type of tagging was inconsistent. The hoe whites by Wilson nearly always had a year, at least, tagged in the tail (1999s had set number and player number, as well).
