Definitely, the more unique it is, usually the value goes up.

The big thing to watch out for with special event uniforms is to be sure the player actually was *in* the game. Sometimes MLB will flag uniforms as "game used" for players who sat on the bench the entire game.

I think it depends on the sport as well. Also the more use the better in my opinion. A lot of times the special 1 off jerseys show light use.

It depends upon the collector. Other than the TATC uniforms and the occasional patriotic design, I would much prefer a well-used jersey, to a one game event one. Unless it were used in a World Series game...

The more the genre appears, the lower the prices for that genre usually get. The first MLB TBTC game was one where the Chicago White Sox wore 1917 style home jerseys in a make-up game against the Brewers the day after the 1990 All-Star Game (which was at Wrigley Field). When the team first released those, the going rate was a then-serious, but now laughable $1000 a pop and up, even for commons. On top of that, 2 sets were issued, but only one worn (one was a keepsake for the player) so there was no way to know if the ones being offered were gamers, or issued. Of course, today, a lot most TBTC jerseys start in the $200-$300 range.
