Pete Rose R195 bat..

I know Rose was a Mizuno man '85 on, but there's a bat on ebay that is a LS R195 with the labeling from 1986-89...Any shipping records match this? Thanks,

Hi Greg - during the 1986 - 1989 labeling period, there were six ( 6 ) R195 orders, but never by the Cincinnati Reds. None of the orders showed weight except for the 5-17-89 order. Those orders are as follows:

1-15-87 ( 25 Pieces - 35" bats - No Finish - Ordered by Baseball Misc. )

7-1-88 ( 24 Pieces - 34.5" bats - Natural Finish - Baseball Misc. )
11-14-88 ( 48 Pieces - 34.5" bats - Natural Finish - Baseball Misc. )
5-17-89 ( 1 Piece - 35" and 35 ounces - Nat. Finish - Baseball Misc. )
8-2-89 ( 24 Pieces - 34.5" - Natural Finish - Ordered by The Score Board )

As with any bat during this time period shown under a promotional order only, you would want to examine use characteristics and make a determination on whether it actually made it into Pete's hands at one time.
