I thought I had myself a 1995 Fins jersey with good wear. After all it came with the 100% Authentication. (I would have loved the Jim Kiick but did not have $12000.00). Although I collect mainly vintage Dolphins this one was from a special year for me. After the auction ended it appears that I won! Yesterday on my flight home I decided to look up Karim Abdul-Jabbar's stats, etc. My excitement on getting the jersey was building up. Well, after further review....Turns out he was drafted in 1996. The jersey was a carryover from 95 (year tag in collar). Shame on me for not doing my homework first. How could they have missed something so obvious?? Live and learn..

A lot of NFL teams wear jerseys after (and sometimes long after) the collar date. I wouldn't automatically say the jersey is bad because of that. I mean, if it he had retired in 94 & it was tagged 95, sure, but this could still be fine.

Thanks for the input. I am confident the shirt is real. The amazement I have is that the "authenticator" worked on a photo match (1996) and did not take time to check out a roster. They went by the year tag. For me I was looking for a true 95 gamer/roster player Not a 95 shirt used in 96. After all the years in this hobby I should have known better. I need to decide if I go thru with the purchase...

I don't really see a photo match. The jersey in the game pics looks way worse than the actual jersey up for auction.

I think they are concentrating on the NOB spelled Adbul instead of Abdul.
