For unknown reasons, I am not allowed to start a thread on the Exceptionally Educational section, so I'll do it here.

I'm looking to see what teams are holding fan conventions in January, and the dates and locations.

Here in Chicago, the Cubs have their event at the Sheraton Chicago Towers on January 17-19.

The White Sox host SoxFest January 24-26 at the Palmer House.

The Kansas City Royals have theirs on Friday Jan 31st and Saturday Feb 1st.

I'm not sure of the times. Last year they had dirt cheap pricing but that won't be the case this year.

San Diego Padres is Feb. 8th. I'm pretty upset that the Padres and A's are on the same day. I usually go to both. I'll still probably drive down to San Diego though...

I usually go every year, but the moron that's in charge of their authentics now basically told me prices will be significantly higher, with a few items with decent pricing. He also said the prices we normally see in the past we won't see again. Tempted to not even go.

I would love to hear if anyone is going to the Nats fan fest and how it goes. I haven't heard too much about it this year so far.

I'll let you know how it goes. We didn't get autograph vouchers so it's straight to the game used booth when we get there.

Rockies Fest - ONE Day Only, Sat Jan 25th at Coors Field.

Opens at 8:30am for Season Ticket Holders and their Guests (Free Entry and Autograph Tickets).

Opens at 1pm to the General Public - $25.00 'donation' to Rockies Charities required.

Like in the past Autographs are 'blind' - meaning you get random tickets for one of four locations during one of seven different time slots, but you won't know who is signing until about 10 minutes or so before your session.

Garage Sale will be happening again, but this year they have seats from where they are building the 3rd Deck 'Party Deck'. They range from $100 - $1000 and you have to be at Rockies Fest to buy and they have to be removed from Coors Field by the end of the day.

Let me know if anyone has any other questions.

Would anyone mind picking up a size 50 1948 Padres PCL TBTC jersey for me? Or a Clayton Richard 1948 PCL TBTC if it's a size 50.

If you can, PM me and I'll send you my cell phone number so we can work something out.

Thanks!

(It's for my personal use, I wear a size 50 and collect/ wear Mike Piazza RETAIL jerseys).

I can also use a Yellow 2007 TBTC A's jersey too in a size 50, but I doubt that one will ever happen.

Are you sure you have the year correct? The A's didn't wear yellow jerseys in 2007 to have throw backs to wear later. Or are you asking about a yellow throw back the A's wore in 2007?

They wore yellow throwbacks last season. I didn't see any of the 2007 yellow throwbacks at A's fan fest last year.

I won't be attending A's fan fest but I will be at the Padres fan fest. If anyone attending the A's could help me out I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for caps sizes 7 1/4 through 7 3/4 (especially throwback and playoffs), a yellow throwback uniform, and any Nate Freiman items other than a bat (caps, jerseys, pants, etc). I can trade for Padres items and/or cash. Just email me to discuss.

I haven't decided if I'm planning on going yet. Is it worth going? How were the prices last year for their memorabilia sale? Not really a huge A's fan but wanted to go for the experience if it's worth it.

I know they wore 1970 yellow vest throwbacks last year. They wore mid 70's yellow pull over throwbacks in 2011. The A's uniforms for 2007, white, green and gray, are the same as the regular uniforms last year. so their could not have been a throwback 2007 jersey that was yellow. Thta is why I asked the OP is he asking about a throwback the A's wore in 2007.

Prices were up from past Fan Fests last year, Most jerseys were $100, the stars were higher.(in the past more jerseys were in the $50-75 range) They did cut prices as the afternoon went on, I think they ended at $50. Bats started at $100, caps at $40 and were also discounted as the day went along.

It does get crowed with long lines from autographs and photographs.

I'm actually trying to get this version- from his time in Oakland. They wore it against the Mariners in Seattle that year (2007). It can be Blank size 50, or with a name, prefer blank though. Like I said, I want to wear the thing and add it to my Piazza collection.

Thanks for all the discussion about it so far guys. I wish I could make a trip out there for the FanFests, but .... I'm stuck lol.

While the A's prices did go up, they're still great compared to many of the other teams. I don't think anything beats the Padres though!

Since the uniform in the EBay listing was sold by the Mariners, maybe you should try to find out if they still have some. but 6 years is a long time for them to keep a non Mariner jersey,
