I was thinking about bidding on this hat but is it just me or does it look like the Steiner hologram may have been removed at one point?

I don't think those holograms can be removed. The hologram will fall apart and disintegrate when tampered with (which is by design to be tamper proof)

It looks like the adhesive is coming thru from the back to me.

I have never removed one myself but a few years ago my rep told me if you tried to take it off pieces of the backing would be left behind. If you look at the top right of the holo it looks to be clear like the backing has come off. It has gone higher then I wanted to bid anyway but it still looks odd to me.
