Former NFL linebacker Channing Crowder played with the Miami Dolphins for six seasons. He played in 82 games (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CrowCh20.htm) throughout his career. At one point during all 82 games, the former Dolphins linebacker says he peed on himself. "I never went to the bathroom in the toilet. Every game I peed myself. Six years straight."

Mark "Stink" Schlereth admitted he did this, as well. I think it's more common than we think.

Never had pee pants, myself, but would definitely wash anything that remotely smelled like urine.

I m sure with football being a contact sport this may have given them some sort of competitive advantage.

Actually, I think Mark did say something about that.

I recall hearing a about 8 years ago the entire packers offensive line did that in games as a group, no joke.

I have heard of this happening witha few players over the years as well, not sure why this becomes "news", jsut because Channing sted he did it?

Probably because he's the one who came out and admitted it. The others, while probably true too, are just rumors
