I like how the auction is run. Actually had an item that didn't somehow go right up to my maximum secret bid.

I got a Holy Grail but embarrassed to say what or how much I paid. And got another great beat up jersey for a good to great price.

Post some pics of what u guys got!!

Picked up the Carlos Santana game used catching gear. Very excited about my purchase! Just need to figure out a way to display it.

Steeleraddict Im guessing you won the Mike Wallace, if so congrats!! I bid on 10 items, won one, two went out of what I wanted to spend, and then the other 7 I just couldn't seem to fight the sleep anymore and fell asleep with my computer next to me. Anyone know what time the auction officially ended?

I won the Omar Vizquel gamer.

Actually I didn't get the Wallace. Great guess. Put in 3 bids but had to save the cash for the other two items. Have a couple wallaces so didn't hurt too much. Almost got it for steal. I think he came in last minute. The winner did get a good price though.

Oh jbean, a 15 minute warning went out around 1:30 or 2 but then they said they got a flood of bids. So ended up ending around 4:05 without the 15 minute warning, I think. Like you, I was beat. I like the Vizquel. Hope we weren't going against each other on the two I got.

So far I have been impressed with Goldins proactiveness(?) in running his auction. In this day, reputation is everything. Look what has happened to other houses with undeniable authentic items but tried to make a few extra bucks trying to pass fakes amongst the legit.
I think this is one reason why his auctions have gotten a premium. Besides the quality items he has obtained.

There have been plenty of houses where I've woken up,to find my "secret" bid has miraculously been bid up to. One item that i did win, I won with another 10% bid that I allowed NOT being bid up to.

Haven't had a chance to post a lot lately, but wanted to make sure I relayed my first experience with Goldin Auctions. I won the '08 Yankees Game Used baseball signed by Jeter (two times) and Rivera. More sentimental meaning than anything and allowed me to move a couple other things around in my collection too.

But to the point, I wanted to express my gratitude to Ken and his staff as the ball I won was originally certified with Steiner COA's for the signatures, but just generic ones. You can see on the auction site: http://goldinauctions.com/2008-Final-Season-Game-Used-Baseball-Signed-Twice--LOT5570.aspx (http://goldinauctions.com/2008-Final-Season-Game-Used-Baseball-Signed-Twice--LOT5570.aspx) . With that said, I was in contact with one of their representatives, Rex, and he let me know that there was a delay in shipping the ball as it was sent to Steiner to be recertified for signature. When I received the ball I was very glad to note the Steiner COAs are now noted as signed game used baseball from June 19, 2008 (the ball I received). I know some will just say it's what a company should do, but I was impressed with the extra mile Goldin Auctions went to.

I'm a very appreciative customer and I do look forward to participating in many future Goldin Auctions.
