The Cowboys wore two distinctly different double-star jerseys during the 1994 season. A white double-star similar in style to what they use today was introduced on Thanksgiving Day and worn in the playoffs against the Packers and the 49ers. This is not one of those jerseys.

However, before that, they wore a throwback on Monday 9/19 in an overtime loss to the Lions. This, I believe, IS one of those throwback jerseys. Below is Emmit Smith's jersey for comparison.

The jersey listed for sale on eBay was worn against the Lions and this is the only time they wore this style. I have two of these -- both of mine are issued jerseys with the Apex tail tag (the one on eBay has been shortened with the Apex tag removed). This style is very very hard to find -- I heard that a rack of them was found several years ago in the back of one of the pro shops and when word got out about their availability they were sold out in a matter of a few weeks. One of the ones I have ended up being the very last one they had for sale.

As others have noted, it was definitely the Detroit game. The eBay jersey looks legit.

Wow, someone paid $700 for it. What bothered me was the game used inscription which attributed its use to the wrong game. As I remember (this is the rest of the story), Jerry got into a lot of hot water for using this jersey since the commissioner did not approve it. At that time, the team was only allowed one throwback and the double star jerseys were the ones that were approved.
