I suspect that this is nothing but a retail jersey, but looking at the list of players that wore 88 for the team, why would they create a retail item for a non-star. Am I missing someone?

Thats likely a Keith Jackson. By all accounts he was a great TE in the 90's

Isn't it screen printed? Pretty sure they've been stitched for much longer. i could be wrong.

1994 was the first season they wore stitched numbers. The NFL emblem on the neck started in the 1991 season. 1988 was the last season they wore Champion jerseys. Hope that helps

Thanks! So, would retail manufacture styles follow on field manufacturer, making this an 1988 or earlier produced retail jersey?

Do you know when the 'phins wore Wilson? I have a jersey that I think may be a gamer turned practice jersey and it is a Wilson. Thanks.

The Champion tag on the jersey didn't come to use until 1990.
