MLB Authentication

Hey everyone

I recently won a game issued jersey on MLB Auctions and when I entered the authentication # on mlb.com it did not match the item I had won. Has this happened to anyone else?

There is a myriad of issues members here have had with MLB authentication. Especially with their online database. Do a forum search and you will find a couple of recent threads about issues with MLB authentication. As for a hologram not matching the item it's attached to this is something I have experienced myself. I had a Fergie Jenkins auto's ball which when looked up online said it was signed by Gaylord Perry. I back tracked the hologram numbers and found that about 20 serial numbers before mine Fergie signed a bunch of baseballs. I would try the same with your item and see if you can find it.
