Hello.

I started a photo sharing site to display my collection of game worn Florida State Seminoles jerseys.

http://imageevent.com/seminolecollection

Check it out when you have a few minutes.

I'll bump this thread from time to time (with pictures) when I add something new.

Enjoy!

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. Your site and gopherjerseys.com are the ones that inspired me to post my modest collection online. I really enjoy your collection (nice score on the Troy Davis jersey) and the write-ups!

"aalanson," very nice collection of FSU gamers. I primarily collect GU helmets and attached is a 2001 game worn jersey of WR Javon Walker and a 2001 game worn helmet. Enjoy and keep us posted as you grow your collection.

So great to see a Nole collection! I know the bookstore on campus sells many of the game worn jerseys at the end of the season. About 15 years ago, they were selling them for $100 each. Being in college at the time, beer was more important than jerseys, which haunts me now as I remember holding a couple of Darnell Docket's jerseys.

Go Noles.

Thanks for the comments (and the site visits), guys.

I hope to get down to the campus one day myself, and I will make sure to visit the bookstore! I can only imagine holding a DD jersey in my hand. But back in college, choosing between owning a game worn jersey and having beer money would be like making Sophie's Choice!

I added photos of some recent pick-ups to my FSU game worn jersey site. Click on the link in my sig if you would like to check them out. Highlights include a game worn Michael Tanks away jersey. Tanks was an Outland Trophy Finalist, and an All-American, in 1989!

Happy 21st Birthday to the Seminole Collection (added my 21st FSU jersey today)!!! My collection game of age in style with the addition of a sideline worn jersey from one of FSU's two Heisman Trophy winners. Have a look (click on the link in my sig). Thanks, as always.

Added a Dayne Williams game worn away jersey from the 1988 Sunkist Fiesta Bowl to my collection. Williams scored a touchdown in the game, and the Seminoles won 31-28.

Nice collection, and nice presentation on your website. I'm fascinated that FSU screened the names directly on the jerseys. Seems reasonable enough to do so, but it's certainly not the norm. Cool.

I also find this incredibly fascinating. I am still trying to ascertain the exact year they stopped screening the names on the backs of the jerseys. Will let you know if I ever figure that out. I find it interesting that they screened the names on the back of the jerseys because it would seem that when a player was done using the jersey, it wasn't recycled. I assume screened on names can be removed, but I don't think this was the case (if anyone knows otherwise, please enlighten me as I am always excited to learn something new). So if this is the case, what happened to the jersey when A player graduated or was done using it? Could the player keep it? Were they thrown away? Recycled for practice? Donated?

Kind of answering my own question here, but apparently a screened on name can be removed from the back of a jersey. I added a game worn Marvin Ferrell jersey to my collection, which can be seen here: http://imageevent.com/seminolecollection/gamewornjerseys?p=45&n=1&m=-1&c=4&l=0&w=4&s=0&z=2.

I guess the next step would be to find one that has been recycled for game use.

As a Florida State graduate (class of 1992) it is great to see someone with an FSU jersey collection. I have an Andre Cooper game worn home garnet jersey. Has the 50th Anniversary patch on the front, has the border around the sleeves and collar. And, of course, has his name on the back. Just a gorgeous jersey. Cooper was my guy as we are both from Jax and I loved watching him play basketball as well at Fletcher High School. Truly a great athlete. I will try to post a pic of it on here at some point in time.

At this rate, let's hope to add a Jameis Winston jersey to our collections!

I can't wait to see a pic of the garnet Cooper jersey. I am excited to see more Seminole collectors out there. Re: Winston, I think "famous jameis" is the real deal. I can't wait to see what he does throughout his college career.

I have seen the 'Noles auction some baseball jerseys they wore on their ALS nights. The auctions were in 2010 and 2011, I think. Google search might yield more accurate results than my memory can (I am getting old). I know the baseball program recycled jerseys for use over the years, so finding a #32 jersey you could trace back accurately to 1999 might be tough. With Diaz getting the FSU hall of fame nod, I would think the university might have something they'll put on display. As far as being for sale, I haven't seen anything. Sorry. I collect strictly football, but if I ever find any baseball jerseys for sale, I will let you know.

Hey fellow Noles fans! I apologize as I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out. I'm a longtime Noles fan and grew up all my life being a fan. I live in FL and remember going to their media day every summer and getting to meet the players/coaches and get their autos. I actually have a huge poster that was signed by the whole team many ages ago that I still have framed in my sports room.

Anyway, I have always wanted to find a game worn helmet and/or jersey to add to my collection. Can anyone point me in the right direction? A helmet, especially being able to link it to the player, would be the ultimate. Please help! :D Feel free to email me or message me...of course during commercials since today is the big day lol

What a game last night! Having watched every FSU game this season, there was something that was jumping out at me every time Famous Jameis was on the field dressed in his garnet jersey. I expected it to go away every time, but it just kept coming back. While watching the warmups before last nights game, it became very clear, Jameis had worn the same garnet jersey for every game in which they were dressed in garnet! I first noticed the mark on his left shoulder during the Maryland game on 10/5/13, which was the 3rd game they wore the garnet jerseys. Every game thereafter, I was able to see the same mark.

I WANT THAT JERSEY, but I am sure there is a long line ahead of me. If anyone has any connections to the Athletic Department of FSU, my checkbook is open.

Nice photo matching work and that would be a 'holy grail' jersey for your collection indeed. The players get to keep their jerseys if my memory is correct so keep an eye out and hopefully one will surface for you.

Congrats on the very nice win!

Dave, for the FSU gamers I have been able to collect so far (late 70s through early 2000s) the manufacturers have been Russell and Nike. I think the current uniforms are Nike. For mid 70s and prior, I am unsure of the manufacturer, as I don't own any as of yet. I'm always on the hunt, so when I find one, I will let you know. Hope this helps.

I do know they sell previous season game worn jerseys in the book store on campus near Oglesby Union, but they strip them of the name plates and patches. I am sure the good jerseys will be spoken for before they hit the rack, but I am sure you can find some that will display well. I can't remember when they get them in, but I may just make the short trip there when they do.

Well then the same would be true for the FSU DEs and WRs, who were getting grabbed like strippers at a bachelor party. Not to mention the 2 missed facemasks and 2 missed horse collar tackles.

The problem was having Big Ten Refs doing this game. They should've realized Big Ten teams aren't used to the ACC and SEC speed so how would their refs be?
