I have been doing a lot of research since photomatching my 1981 GU Herschel walker jersey. I have been trying to find what other games the jersey may have been worn in since it shows some signs of blue rubs on it. also havin the tears repaired by the team equipment manager tells me it was repaired for more game play at some point during the 81 season. in doing so I ran across this magazine with what appears to be Walker wearing a jersey with no Tagging. Well my jersey had no tagging as well. I have went through game film as well as a lot of game photos and he only wore one jersey without tagging. yep, mine. Trading emails with a staffer for The Sporting News. he is trying to help me track down the Original color shot of this photo. in which I believe has much better details. Wish me luck!! Go Dawgs!
