If you were going to obtain a piece of memorabilia for a player who reached a particular hit-based milestone or significant hit-related event (e.g., first hit, 1000 hits, 100th home run), how would you rank your preference for the related memorabilia ranging from the bat, the ball and the jersey? If you are thinking football, you can replace the bat with the helmet.
I'm typically a jersey guy, but in the case of hit-related milestones, I think my order of preference would be the baseball, then the bat and then the jersey. I'd probably value each of the baseball and the bat at about twice the value of the jersey.
