Just so sad. For the victim and their family, just a pathetic way to go.

As for Aaron Hernandez, guy is 23 years old had a 5-year 40M contract and how he couldn't enjoy life for his sake and his family's sake, just terrible.

If convicted, I will not feel sorry for Aaron Hernandez. To quote a long running television show, I wouldn't wish his troubles to a monkey on a rock. Guy was living the American dream but had to cross the line. There is one person dead and another friend lost eyesight for life in one of his eyes due to carelessness and plain stupidity.

I have to disagree. I think it is great this scumbag threw away the life he had in the NFL just so he could live the gangsta life.

I am sad for the people Hernandez killed. Apparently this is NOT first murder this scumbag was involved in.

It is great to know Hernenadez is no longer going to be a tight end in the NFL but will be a wide receiver in prison!!!! That is funny!

Where in your mind did you deduce that this guy was "[my] hero"?

My point is, while it seems you find this situation to be very amusing, I think it is sad that someone can be this misguided and that the victims and their families must be completely devastated. Personally, I take no pleasure in another person's suffering. However, to each their own.

Was not referring as "your" hero. Sorry if you took it as personal. Sports players are often looked up to as a hero. Unfortuntely the NFL is a thug recruiter. 27 players have been arrested since the Super Bowl.

I feel really bad for the victims. I could care less for Aaron Hernandez!

Count now at 28. Sad. It's like losing an entire NFL team at this point.

What the heck is wrong with these guys? They can't stay away from guns & drugs? One would think with Hernandez being arrested, it would be a wake up call for these guys.

28....and that's just the documented cases. Imagine how many more are swept under the rug or not arrested because of who they are.

Headline:
Former Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez void of emotions during arraignment on murder charges

He was void of emotion because he's a ****ing sociopath! He deserves everything he gets. As a 58 yr old I find the current state of the NFL to be distasteful. Thugs , criminals, and, sociopaths, unlike in any of the other major sports. In the 60's and 70's when I was a huge fan the issues w/NFL were w/the league and how players were poorly treated by management .Issues were w/pensions, players dealing w/lifetime disabilities and players shackled to their teams for life w/no recourse. Now it's the criminal element and gang affiliated players in the NFL.

Now we can see why some folks who consider themselves witty refer to the NFL as the National Felons League.

Makes one wonder why Tim Tebow was frowned upon and disliked because he was so open about being a Christian.

Maybe the NFL Executives want the felon/thug image???

I don't understand how people can work their entire lives to become the top 1% in the WORLD at your craft, get rewarded for hard work and talent with Millions of dollars and then literally give it all away.

Growing up, my father taught me there was no such thing as a stupid millionaire. Guess he had it wrong

As a cynic, I'd say most of Tebow haters dislike his (perceived) holier than thou attitude. Similarly, I've encountered many bitter people who enjoy seeing people who are more successful but (again perceived) lower class than them, fail.

I have never noticed Tebow's attitude as such. He has come across as a decent young man.

Camaro - I'm with you. "Holier than thou" attitude? I guess Tim should get some tattoos, wear white suits, rent a limo and get involved in a shooting, father children, get in bar-fights and sell drugs - perhaps then he'll be accepted?

Just an opinion.
