What is the typical (if there is one) impact on market pricing between a game worn late flannel and an early knit by a star player? This seems to have taken place in the early 1970s for most/all teams. There definitely seems to be a premium for flannels over knits, but let's say a final flannel of a HoF-er and a first knit for the same HoF-er, everything else being equal.
For me, it's not easy to understand the preference for flannels because I grew up in a world of knits only. Perhaps as my generation (late 30s and up) become more dominant buyers, this gap will narrow/evaporate. Thanks for the insights.
