Hi Guys,

I bought a base from the Orioles last year that was used when Chris Davis had three homeruns in one game. They are doing a public signing on Monday and I plan on having him autograph the base with an inscription about the game. My question is what would be the best pen to use on the base. Sharpie, paint pen, or ball point. Any help and experience you guys could provide would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Patrick

I believe the only pen to use would be a black sharpie. Maybe one of the larger size ones would be best. Generally there is the middle section towards left and right of the center where it is the best location to have signed. Hope this helps you out some. Let us know how it goes and definitely post pics!

Hi there,

I'm brand new to the forum but I found the forum because I had the same question. I ended up using a black DecoColor paint pen based on suggestions. Got it at Michael's. Make sure you use it and test it first.

Worked great!

Good luck!
