I was browsing through MLB Auctions today and came across a Jim Thome Game Used Jersey from JR Day in 2008.

I was particularly interested since Thome hit his 510th homerun on April 16th. However, Thome was suspended for the actual Jackie Robinson day game played against the A's on April 15, 2008. I suppose it is entirely possible he wore the jersey in the dugout but I wanted to make other potential bidders aware that this jersey did not see game action. Not reading anything into the intentions of MLB Auctions but wanted to give everyone a heads-up.

Should a player be suspended, would he even be allowed in the dugout for that game? Don't suspended players remain in the clubhouse, meaning Thome may not have even suited up for J.R. Day?

Just saw this. That jersey doesn't even look like its from that game. There is no nameplate on the back.

I didn't think that there were nameplates on the back of JRD jerseys...
