Hello,

Forgive me if there is already a thread about this but I was curious to know/see how some of you all display your game used bases. I am looking to pick up one from the Reds this season and was just looking for some ideas or examples. Please know that any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

There are one or two choices in terms of a frame or box that you can hang on your wall, they can be found on sites like ebay etc. I have my Shea and Citi bases in frames, wasn't cheap though..

If you have a base with the post, they display great on a table, just put bubble wrap on the end so you don't scratch the table.

Without the post, Caseworks makes a great case or the other choice is use the screwholes on the back and string it up like a painting you would hang.

Hello, thanks very much for the responses thus far...I will definitely check out the sites with cases/holders.

I like the idea about just sitting them on the table (good idea about the bubble wrap)

There is a thread out there that shows how to run a wire across the back of the base (like you often see for picture frames) so you can hang it on the wall. You have to remove the post of course, but it looks nice and saves a lot of money.

I mount all of my bases flush on the wall.

I make plywood mounting boards similar to the size of the metal mounting plates used on the bases when in a game. The board fits into the back of the base then just like the mounting plate and I push it up to the top of the base. I prefer to paint them white then I use a 50 lb picture hanger for it's larger size to hang them. Cheap and pretty effective...

Sorry for the large pics, should've sized them better...

That's a very nice display and smart thinking!
