Mets Roberto Alomar Heritage auction odd bat

Heritage has an Alomar Mets gamer up, graded 8.5 psa/dna. The bat's handle is shaved away pretty good, to my recollection I do not recall, nor could I find another Alomar example like this. Is it just me?

I believe Robbie tinkered with different grips throughout his career. I wouldn't be alarmed by the shaved handle.
