Hello, I searched for other threads on this but couldn't find anything. I recently purchased a 1987 game used Seattle Mariners jersey. Does anyone out there have any examples I could compare mine to? Looking for pics of tags etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.. Tags are inside the jersey not on the outside.

during that time period the M's did indeed have their tags on the inside of their jerseys

Thanks guys.. Anyone know approximately when the Mariners switched to Set 2? I imagine it varied from team to team

Found another example to compare mine to.. I'm a little concerned. The example photo is of a jersey on ebay right now. The tags are not the same as mine. See pics from my previous reply, I thought mine was a Set 1 (87 1) If anyone can shed some light on this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I wouldn't be too concerned. The first season of the Rawlings MLB Uniform Supply Contract (1987), tagging was all over the place with a lot of their teams, as their workload was tripled or so with the contract (prior to the contract, Wilson was the most frequently utilized uniform source in MLB.) Looks like year and uniform number in proper embroidery font with normal Wilson tag above it. I think you're OK.
