Hey Everyone,
Just wanted let everyone know I have been attending the Topps Industry Summit Conference this week in Las Vegas. It is an annual meeting that attracts a lot of the hobby dealers in the industry. While the focus is primarily on trading cards, it is really nice to meet some of the shop owners who work hard every day to serve sports memorabilia collectors. Some of the dealers also do have some knowledge of game used memorabilia as well.
I have met a lot of great people here and have been listening to some of the ways people are working to support the hobby in general as well as meeting some of the people on the corporate side. There are also some content providers (including sports radio) as well as representatives from the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.
Overall, a great experience and, again, it's nice to meet some of these really good, hard-working shop owners that commit themselves everyday to trying to serve the collector as part of their livelihoods.
