Gronkowski Pats Jerseys - Which One?

Three have come up from public auction recently...curious as to what collectors would choose, if they could choose one and why...

Personally, I would not want any of them at these price points.....History proves repeatedly that these prices never withstand the test of time!

Don't get me wrong, I have a total Man Crush on Gronk, but as time passes and there is a new stud in town the values will probably decline....especially for a TE.

Pricing aside, I would always want the one with the most Dirt, rips and blood! With football Jerseys, it seems as though most Collectors don't care if it was a Rookie Jersey or not once a couple of years go by? I would definitely want his very First NFL Jersey though.

Agree on all points - given that I'd take the International Series jersey because it was a historic game, Gronk had one of his best games, and some hilarious TD dances.

IMHO, one of the best Gronk jerseys I've seen was his GU throwback rookie jersey that went for ~$7k, sometime around last year. That was also the bargain of the bunch it seems. :rolleyes:

Back to price - Gronk jerseys are absolutely absurd and hype-priced right now A) because he's awesome, and B) because all Pats jerseys are currently in short supply. Given that the Pats are starting to release some of these GU and GI gems, prices will come back down to earth in the next year or two.

I'll be on the lookout and pick one of these up in 5 years or so, for about half of what was originally paid. That's the double-edged sword of being the high bidder at an auction - yeah you won, but you were the only one willing to pay that price!
