Vikings at Packers
21 carries, 210 yards, 1 td, 82 yard TD run (longest of career)

I've been searching around for a few months now and finally tracked down an Adrian Peterson game used jersey. I've seen a few from 2008, 2010, 2011 but how many 2012 Peterson gamers have you seen floating around? He usually exchanges his jersey with other star players (B.Marshall, A. Johnson last few weeks) after the game & also gave one gamer to the Hurricane Sandy Auction in LA) so I feel very lucky to have tracked this one down.

The broker I ended up dealing with was Dan Rosquete out of Boston. I did a little digging on this site and contacted a few members for quick background on him before I even started to talk numbers with him. I found a few negative responses. After talking things over with Dan I decided he was completely legit and we worked out an agreement that would make sure we both were protected. It worked out to be one of the best, most professional transactions I've ever done. Communication was perfect, jersey use is worthy of the hall of fame ;-) and shipping was instant. If you ever get a chance to do a deal with Dan Rosquete, have no worries as you are dealing with a real pro. Enjoy the 2012 Purple Jesus Jersey. Pictures don't do it justice.

I wouldn't trust a Peterson jersey unless it was 100% photo matched. I'm trying hard but can't conclusively tell.

(Sweet jersey, congrats!)

Great 2012 AP!!!

I have to disagree that it is the best photo match on the board. It is a great match but one that is easy to make. There are tons of game photos of the highest quality and the shirt shows fantastic use thus making it an easy photo match.

To me the best photo matches are the ones where use is minimal or harder to see (loose threads, very small hit marks, stitching patterns etc.) and photos are harder to find.

Matching up gamers from the last 4-5 seasons is easy because of the quantity and quality of information available to do so. Personally the best matches I have seen are from the late 80s-early 1990s, where one has to watch a DVD of marginal quality and hope to get enough images of the player interested in.

I am in no way trying to detract from the beauty of this piece as it is a really sweet shirt but to me the photo match was just way to easy to call it the best match ever.

Always buying 49er gamers.

thanks for all the comments guys. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the jersey as much as I am. I have my guys working on some framing ideas. I'm pretty sure I'm going to try something different .... a double sided frame job that displays front and back. This jersey is just too awesome on both sides to only show one side. I'll get it figured out before I head back to baghdad and post some good pictures for everyone to enjoy. Happy Holidays guys

Awesome jersey and such a nice easy photomatch(es).

Regarding double sided frames, alot depends on where you can display it. If you have the height, hanging it high is the best way to see both sides as you can walk under it. If not, it will be hard to see both sides at once. Even if you can't see both sides at once, I'd recommend a double sided frame so that you can flip it over and change what side is being displayed now and then (or a frame that can be spun around).

That is an amazing jersey. The guy who said he isn't convinced of the photo-match is either obviously joking or obviously sight-impaired.

I thought long and hard about a double-sided frame, and did a fair amount of research into it. The primary issue I expect you will run into is mounting hardware. There is no good way to hide the mounting hardware if you want to be able to just flip the jersey over. I looked and looked but there is nothing good out there I could find.

If you get a frame with a front-side opening, that will make it easy for you to take out and show to friends.

Another alternative is the place the jersey on a mannequin and place the mannequin. I have one piece on a mannequin and it looks good. Inside a plexi display case. Even though it's against the wall, you can see front and back of jersey (actually a race suit) because the mannequin stands out from the wall. I initially built the entire thing on a spinner (lazy susan), but because I would have to move the display away from the wall to spin it, I removed it.

Good luck with the display and congrats on the jersey.

esquiresports (http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/member.php?u=7829), Not to hijack this thread, but I think everyone agreed that the Peterson jersey is a tremendous item. I don't think anyone doubted the photomatch, the only exception anyone took was whether is was "THE absolutely very best photomatch, and photomatch job, I've seen on the Forum". It was an easy match and rightfully so, the jersey is pounded with use, but I think most on this forum believe the best photomatches are the ones that take a lot of research and work to find a match and/or are able to find the smallest threads or detailed objects of an item to match it with a photo or video.

Esquire, The double sided frames that I have seen do not have any mounting hardware for the jersey itself. The jersey is sandwiched between two panes of glass, so it will not be moving or need any hardware to hold it in place.

For your lazy susan idea, couldn't you get a motorized one that spins around slowly to rotate the jersey when you choose to?

DID THE DOUBLE SIDED TO MY FELIX, HEAVY AS ALL HELL.
CANT HANG IT ON THE WALL WITH OUT THE FEAR OF IT FALLING.
FRAME ITSELF CANT HOLD THE WEIGHT.

I was referring to ldonley's post that he was trying to see the definitive photo match but wasn't convinced.

Love the motorized lazy Susan idea! When I spoke about mounting hardware I was talking about a way to mount the frame to the wall. That's the trick. You can definitely wedge or free-float the jersey.

Would love to have a marked up jersey like this!

I would say mannequin too...simply because the jersey has so much use on both sides. If the jersey only displayed use on one side, I'd say frame it to show that side but I put my Eddie George gamer from the playoff game v. the Ravens on a mannequin so that I can flip it around if needed.

Ok,

I got the finished product back tonight and I'm very happy with how it turned out. Both sides are displayed perfect with two High Resolution 8x10s from the GB game. I really like the different color matting on both sides. I'm going to have a wall customized in my house so I can insert the frame inside the wall so both sides can be displayed all the time. Should turn out great! I'll post pics when all the work is finally finished. Hope you guys like it. Big thanks again to Linebacker U!!!

Looks amazing. Seriously haven't seen any other collections which are displayed as nicely as yours.
Even customizing a wall to display this, HARDCORE, can't wait to see it.
I might hopefully be moving to Hershey, PA in June so if that does end up happening I'm going to have to take a trip to Harrisburg to check your framers out.

I'm guessing if you wanted to get this done in any framing store you would be a little over double what the company is asking for framing a single jersey. I get so much work done at Linebacker U that my prices are pretty amazing. If you are really interested in getting something done, PM me and maybe I can get you hooked up at my store.

That looks great framed! The only things I'd have suggested would be to add a plaque or something that states the game/date/stats, and maybe the back to have a photomatch pic like the front does.

Either way, it's an AMAZING jersey and a great framing job!

5tool I'm a huge nike gamer guy now. They grew on me so much. Quality is second to none. The detail is down pat from the tailoring all the way to the stitching(of course only the teams that went full throttle change like the vikings, Jags, Dolphins, Saints, Cowboys ex..). this A.P jersey from the year where he won MVP, as well as come back player, as well as 2000+ rushing yards is a thing of greatness. You sir have my vote as the best NFL pick up I've seen to date. Congrats on an amazing historic priceless piece of memorabilia. This jersey should be bid for by museums for just a chance to display it to the public. The wear on it is beautiful, and tells a story all on its own. This jersey just has that wow factor.
