I recently came across an older Rawlings bat with a branded signature in lieu of block letters. The centerbrand label and knob stampings references it to 1985. Is this still being practiced by Rawlings?

Thanks for any information that the forum members can provide.

Try the Adirondack / Rawlings page on birdbats site

Thanks, Randy. I did previously check out Jeff's site. Still trying to find more information about the signature branding aspect.

Ron,

The last time I've ever seen a signature model of a post 1990's player was Sammy Sosa.

Other than Sosa I don't think anyone else had a signature model or recent.

The last player in the 80's may have been Mike Schmidt.

Just my observation.

Harold Baines and Pudge Fisk had sig models, too.

Steve Carlton, Willie Mays and Ron Santo used signature Adirondack bats, also.

I used to have an 80s Baines bat too. Forgot it was a signature model.

I also saw a bat on Jeff's site that looks like a Ted Simmons model. Based on the responses it seems like Rawlings has not used branded signatures in awhile. Adding to the list of Rawlings signature models is my Terry Whitfield bat from when he was with the Dodgers.

Thanks to all for your help.

Ron.
