Hi guys-
I love reading stories on this board when members present a game used item to a player to sign, the player recognizes it and an interesting conversation ensues.
I had this experience today when I brought a bat for Doug Mientkiewicz, one of my favorite players to sign. He immediately recognized it as one of of his "gamers" and took a few practice cuts with it. He told me that in order to get the tar really thick he put a layer of moto-stick, then rosin, another of moto-stick and finally rosin before he applied any tar. He also boned all of his bats and they had to have a certain "ring" when he hit them for themto be game worthy.
It was just an overall awesome experience! I would love to hear others experiences like this.
