What's everyone thoughts and opinions on this jersey? I was told it was a stadium purchase or handout from the 40's. Anyone know if thats correct? The back is blank and there isn't any tags. Any kind of information would be great!

Cool jersey. Is the trim color a dark purple (NYU)? Is the flannel wool or cotton? It is unheard of that it is a stadium purchase or giveaway from the 1940s. Maybe an industrial league.

It's wool...I don't have the jersey with me but I will in the morning and will look at it in good light and update the post. Thanks!
