Help with Jose Cano Astros Jersey

I bid, not thinking I'd win, and without doing my homework. So, I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this jersey....

- Seller claims 1990 jersey, and from what I see, Cano only played in 1989

- Baseball Reference lists his number as 52, this is #39

- There is a tilde on the "O", which I've never seen before

Spring training jersey? Incorrect info from the seller? Name or number change? Not issued/used? I'm really at a loss here... anyone who can shed some light, help would be much appreciated!

The Jose Cano jersey you have is from 1990. During Spring Training that year he was #39. He spent the season playing for the Astros AA & AAA team. The tilde over the "O" is the correct spelling of his name and the use of a tilde is common for the Astros.
