Just wondering what is your preference for autographs and special inscription on special mlb logo baseballs such as all star baseballs. Some people like the autographs on the traditional sweet spot while others will have the player autograph underneath the special logo. examples below.

I also included a poll as well.

If you have your reason for your selection, i would like to hear your opinion, thanks in advance. I have a few baseballs I would like to have autographed and was trying to weigh in the pros and cons of both locations (ie. display-wise, value-wise)

It comes down to personal preference. I myself prefer any baseballs
with a special logo signed on the side panel (i.e. All Star, World Series, WBC,
etc) below the logo. I think it displays better.

However for my business, every time we do a signing and get a bunch
of these balls done, we always do a handful on the sweet spot
for customers who prefer all of the autos on the sweet spot no matter
what. Call them purists or just that they don't want to break up the monotony
of their display.

As far as value goes, modern autographed baseballs do not gain much value
so just go with what you prefer rather than what others may think.

Count me as a member of the "under the logo" camp. The logos help to add variety, and a close-by autograph (rather than on the SS above the seam) makes the display that much cooler, at least to me.

One thing a "sweet spot only" customer mentioned was he prefers
SS because the signature is usually bigger and neater.

Thanks on your input.

Your customer's argument is the best point I also come up with for the pro side of using the sweet spot. If you look at any team signed baseball the signature on the sweet spot is the most readable signature of the bunch. the area underneath the logo is very narrow.

If I plan to display the Special baseball, then I would go with underneath the logo.

But on the other hand, most of signed baseballs (special and generic) they are ALL on the sweetpot.

I guess I will stick with sweetspot!

Definitely under the logo for me....
