Hey everyone.

Last night I watched my Chargers beat the Steelers last night in HD, I thought "Man, those are the nicest unis in sports." Here's a pic

Not sure if you were looking for just football jerseys. I'd have to go with the old Jim Brown jersey. I wonder how many athletes have had the same last name as the team name? One of my favorites in any sport is the 1974 Braves Hank Aaron jersey. Other sports.....Boston Bruins Away and Julius Erving Nets jerseys.

Eric, I agree that the Chargers "powder blue" is nice, but the New England Patriots wore a "red" throwback on Thanksgiving day 2002 vs. the Detroit Lions which is my favorite....:)

Funny thing....It was a toss up for me between the Jim Brown and the John Hannah Pats jersey. Being originally from Boston it was tough call.

Here are a few pics of my favorite Mets jerseys... The 87's were always my favorite. I included the newest of my collection (the '83 BP) -- it took a few years to find one, so it's a current favorite. The road jersey is not game used, the other 2 are. Finally, a classic -- a 1983 Astros rainbow gamer. Enjoy!!

I have to agree with Eric. Attached is my favorite jersey to look at in my collection. 2005 Tomlinson used vs Bills 11/20/05.

Those sneakers are the coolest thing here. I can still smell the old Cons and Pro Keds comin' out the box. I can admit now that we stole more than a few of those from old J.M. Fields. Maybe that's why they're out of business.

Yep, those Chargers powder blues are sweet. I like the throwbacks/alternates when the teams just use them on special occasions and limited games. Makes them special and keeps the wow factor going when you do see them that much. RKGibson your LT gamer is awesome, where did you score that? Hard for me to pick just one favorite, even to just narrow down one from a sport. I'm a little bias in that I kinda favor one's that I own a gamer of that style.....
Baseball favorites are the Braves RED home Sunday's and that they only use them in those games. Runner ups, Brewers new Sunday, Red Sox red, Twins red and most of the Turn Ahead the Clockers from late 90's....

Football favorite the Skins 2002 Maroon 70th Anniversary....

Hockey there are a bunch of alternates I like. Sad to see the Bruins retire the Pooh Bear. The Islanders orange hunter is my new favorite. Thrashers powder blue alternate is sweet, so much so they have now made it there new home jersey starting this season.

Indyred, I bought the Tomlinson at the NFL Superbowl XL auction. I also got a couple Dolphin jerseys, Ronnie Browns rookie and a 98 Marino used vs the Patriots 10-25-98. I attached the Brown jersey, its right up there with my favorites, Auburn guy. They did not specify which game it was used in and I have not tried photo matched it yet.

Awesome NFL gamers RK! And Yankwood, I also remember JM Fields. There was one right around the corner from my grandparents house in Lakeland, Fl. that shut down in the early 80's.

My favorite uni is, of course, the 70's-80's Bears Wilson jerseys. Big fat stripes on the sleeves. No spandex sides. Tiny neckhole. Itchy fabric. No doubt the newer Reeboks are WAY more comfortable but there was just something about the simplicity of the Wilsons.

My all-time favorite TV series...I've searched the studio wardrobe warehouses (Universal, Western, Paramount)for the past 10 years looking for a Carver High tank-top. No luck. For that matter, where is Kenny Reeves' Chicago Bulls gamer worn in the show intro?

My favorite sports film is "The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh"...

My "holy grail" of sports collecting is to own a "Pittsburgh Pisces" screen-used jersey. They are stored at Sportsrobe in Culver City, but are not for sale. If anyone ever sees one of these jerseys at auction, please contact me.

Which Carver jersey would be worth the most? If eBay would have been around when they aired the episode where Curtis Jackson dies, I'm sure you would have instantly seen some signed Carver Jackson gamers on eBay.

I keep an eye out for a Set Shot Buford jersey, with Lampson letter.

I'd settle for some Moses Guthrie game shoes.

What do you make of this? In the movie they change the team name from the Pythons to the Pisces.

Hi Eric,

Just read your last post re the "Pythons" jersey and noticed that you are a Chargers fan..correct?

May I direct you to the following link...?

http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=5428

Any help identifying the ball etc. would be appreciated.

I have a VHS copy of the Fish that Saved Pittsburgh someplace...I should watch that again! :)

Thanks!

Pythons is correct...the team changed from the Pythons to Pisces.

There is a website devoted to the movie...check out the trivia questions near the end.

The Pythons lot is nice....but no Pisces. Maybe someone with the video can confirm Moses' last name- "GUTHRIE" or "GUTHERIE"? I don't remember NOBs on the Pythons jerseys? Also, Mastro mentions velcro tabs are for display purposes, but were actually used to attach nameplates...still, very cool items.

It appears the second number in Moses Guthrie's Pythons jersey is a "5". So someone defaced a piece of Hollywood sports memorabilia? I could have afforded a Pythons "common" player...but not a "so-called" Dr. J...shame on the consignor! I wouldn't expect the auction house to do research. I just put a voodoo curse on the sucker who sewed "GUTHERIE" on the back of this jersey...

happy thanksgiving to all. a few have posted their favorite being the 74 braves. i like that shirt also, but it really is the cheapest major league jersey i have ever seen. its almost like a t-shirt, mine is made by sand knit, maybe a different manufacturer of those styles did a better job. jeff
