Basically, the open "outlined letters" WORTH centerbrand with "Model 500T" above the centerbrand and "Tennessee Thumper" diagonally to the right of centerbrand is characteristic of 1983-1988 Worth bats.

The "solid letters" WORTH centerbrand with a solid block letter W (trademarked) above (but touching) the centerbrand and "Model 500T" below the centerbrand and "Tennessee Thumper" diagonally to the right of centerbrand is characteristic of 1988-1989 Worth bats.

The "solid letter" WORTH centerbrand with a solid block letter W (trademarked) above (but touching) the centerbrand with "Model 500T" and "Tennessee Thumper" removed from the centerbrand is characteristic of 1990 - 1991 Worth bats.

A new, thicker font WORTH on the centerbrand with the solid block letter W (trademarked) not touching the centerbrand is characteristic of 1992 - 1994 Worth bats.

Here's and old post with additional information http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=43625&highlight=worth+knob (http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=43625&highlight=worth+knob)

Also, one of the most complete bat label index references can be found on the www.mearsonline.com (http://www.mearsonline.com/) website in the members section. The membership fee for that site is well worth it in terms of significant research material for game used collectors. Information from the MEARS site supplemented portions of the above response.

I guess it's 1983-1988 range, was hoping to narrow it down to an exact year but oh well :)
