1990 NFL ball - Wilson date code?

Is anyone familiar with a stamped date code like this? The letters are C-RF. I've only seen 2-letter codes. I believe the ball dates from 1990.

That's certainly one I've never seen. Only suggestion I have is that 1990 was the first year of the Tagliabue football; this may have been a production sample.

Sorry to dig this up but thought it would help. I have a ball just like this one with a date code of C-RW.

After several phone calls and emails to Wilson they informed me that it was a composite replica football made in September of 2000.

I was under the impression that it was from 1990 because of the "C" and the stitching around the valve. :confused:
