Got back to NC today from our first World Series. Wow! What an experience. Even though we are Rangers fans, it was still very cool to withness Pujols' history making performance. It was definitely a trip of a lifetime!

I went to both games 3 and 4 while visiting our daughter, with her husband and our one-year-old grandson, in DFW area. Great games! And great pictures; thanks.

I bought two g-u items: an ALCS game 2 ball and an ALDS game 2 ball, at the stadium. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else buys 2011 postseason items from the Rangers.

One of Pujols' records was to tie Bobby Richardson's record of 6 RBI's in a World Series game. I saw Richardson set that record on TV in game 3 of the 1960 WS, when I was 11 (he included a grand slam in that game). Later, Richardson became a major figure in South Carolina Gamecock baseball, when he elevated our program to major status and led us to two College World Series (1975 and 1977) as Head Coach.

I spoke to Bobby Richardson in 2007 at the Gamecocks' field, and mentioned that game to him. He later said in an interview that he's always impressed by folks (like me) who recall that game decades later. He said it makes him realize how much baseball means to people.
