If you still have the King bat, consider it sold if you take pay pal. Email me your pay pal address.

King Bat is sold.....

Received the Curt King bat today, nice bat, and I thank you. You stated that the bat was used by Alberto Castillo. You are probably correct, but thought I would post some photos and thoughts.
Alberto Castillo played for StL in 1999 and wore #30.
Curt King played for StL 1997-1998-1999 and wore #57
Todd Stottlemyre played for StL 1997-1998 and wore #30

The Curt King bat from you (2nd from left) has a large black 30 on the knob and very faintly you can see a 57 with 33.5 31 both written in a ballpoint.
The cupped barrel end (didn't photo) also has a 30 in black marker with a 57 in ballpoint. From 1999 to 2001 the open faced MLB logo appeared to the right of "Powerized". Since King's last year was 1999, you could date this bat 1999. I already had a Curt King bat (third from left), same model etc. It has the 57 with 33.5 31 on the knob and 57 in the cupped barrel. Same ballpoint markings on both bats. So much for the Curt King bats.

I also have a Cardinal Allberto Castillo bat (far right) that has to be from 1999 as that is his only year with StL. Notice the configeration of the 30 on his bat vs the 30 on the King bat. Same style of 30 is on the non-cupped barrel end. Quite a bit of difference???

So who else wore 30 in this time frame? Todd Stottlemyre (far left) who wore 30 and played for StL 1997-1998. Compare this 30 with the 30 on the King bat, close?? But Stottlemyre was gone in 1999, and his bat probabaly dates to early 1997.

I would say that somebody besides Castillo put the 30 on the King bat. Also I would say that other folks used both bats or King had a lot of BP as during his three years with StL, as he was up to bat six times w/o a hit.

Also there were some folks interested in this Curt King bat. It is for trade,
email me. This is a tough pitchers bat as he only did three years in the majors, all with StL.
