Got my white whale yesterday. Mr Hamilton gave my boys one of his bats ... and even signed it. We didn't realize just HOW special this bat was, even though they were told it a "special gift". When we got home, my oldest immediately starting searching for pics to photomatch it (I don't know WHERE he gets that from) lol. Anyway, we matched it....to Game 2 Inning 6 of the 2010 WORLD SERIES!!!

Kyle put together a couple of pics for me and we're still working on a comparison pic for the front of the bat.

I know that is the postseason and all but it is ALSO football season. My Yankees are on another inevitable trip to the WS anyway so I dont know what all the fuss is about!

To compete with all of the BB posts how about some new 49er pickups:

Jeff Fuller-mid to late 80s home gamer with at least 10-12 repairs.

What is funny about this jersey is that when I called Legendary and asked about the use they supposedly had the shirt in had and described it to me. I was told it had some minor hits and fraying and that it looked like it had been washed. Thats it! I even asked about repairs and was told there were NONE! I had a Fuller years ago but sold it. He was one of my favorite heavy hitters, just like Lott, plus he was #49 so I wanted the shirt even though it supposedly showed just "moderate" use.

Two weeks later and the jersey arrives and it is littered with repairs and show outstanding game use! I have no idea if they did not have the shirt in hand but it sure seemed as if they did as the auction guy had put me on hold to go get it and was able to answer questions about the shirt that would have been hard to do just looking at an image. Weird.

Michael Carter mid 80s home with heavy use and added crotch-piece. If the length of the crotch-piece is an indication of anything else-ladies watch out! Very nice classic Russell 49ers gamer!

Michael Carter early 90s gamer. Check out the added Russell portion to the bottom of a Wilson gamer. At 6'2" and 285 he still was a monster! Remember he won an Olympic Silver medal in the shotput in 1984!

This shirt had NO nameplate and was sent to Ruberti's for restoration. The letters are perfect but the nameplate itself is not a perfect match. Still a nice job.

More pickups on page 2!

Just added this 2007 Florida Gators game worn Markus Manson jersey, which has the 75th SEC anniversary and Capital One Bowl patches. It's photo matched to the November 17 game against FAU, in which he picked up a fumble from a blocked punt and returned it 19 yards for a touchdown. It shows great wear with multiple team repairs, hit marks and grass stains.

Last night I won the Justin Upton bat from the auction at Chase Field. He broke the bat on Tuesday night and it has 3 very distinctive marks on it so I went back and watched game 2 and this is the bat he used to hit the HR against Grienke. My first photo matched HR bat and its a post season HR. I'm happy :)

Torii Hunter game used jersey, pants and hat from 70's flashback from 9/2, 9/9 and 9/23/11. Shows great use. Torii hit his 22nd HR of the season on 9/23 (#280 career). All MLB authenticated. Picked it up for my wife for Christmas, shes been wanting a Hunter jersey for like 4 years. Can't wait to see the look on her face :D

Nicely displayed collection! You should add a Gomez, Hairston, and Kotsay bat - should be able to find those reasonably. Check out the Brewers grab box bat auction. Where did you get your bat display from - handmade?

Thanks. Had the same thought. Working hard on that Brewers 2011 set. It was a good week, picked up a Gomez, Hairston Jr., Wolf, and a short timer Almonte (absolutely pounded). All are MLB authenticated 2011 gamers. The bat racks were made by myself.

Hunter Pence 2011 Phillies SSK Bat, Reebok Batting Glove

I believe this might be the heaviest used bat I have in my collection. Photomatched to over 13 games of action. This was the first SSK bat used by Hunter after testing out Pablo Sandoval's SSK at the All-Star game. Has "Believe" on the knob, the only one like this before others had "3" written on. Bat was made the day before Hunter was traded to the Phillies (7/29/2011).

I was so close to getting a Kolten Wong bat. I found out that a freind of mines is Kolten's cousin & he said that he could get me a bat from Kolten. That was over a month ago & still no bat. Oh well, Kolten is just starting so hopefully I will get one in a few years.

These came by UPS yesterday and thursday. First is a hit single by Kurt Suzuki on Sept 26, 2011 vs the Mariners, in which he tried to stretch single into a double and was thrown out. A BIG thanks to my Friend Goh on this one!!!!!!!! Next is 2 RBI triple vs the Mets on Aug 22, 2011 hit by Shane Victorino. Last is a two run double hit by Dane Sardinha vs the Indians, on June 24, 2010

Brock Berlin Senior Year Back Up Jersey

Transferred out of the University of Florida and played for Miami from 03-04, led a huge comeback against the gators in 2003, and beat them in the peach bowl 2004.

Alex Avila bat cracked on a broken bat single Aug 3rd, 2011. Here are two shots (thanks to Rich) from August 2nd, the 2nd inning and 5th inning. Alex hit a home run in the 4th inning (sadly in the first pitch). Hopefully Alex Acknowledges HR#11.

Extremely excited to have just added this uniform to my collection. It's Markihe Anderson's 2009 Pro Combat uniform worn at home in The Swamp against FSU. This 37-10 win was senior day and was Tim Tebow's final game in The Swamp.

I don't think Miami and Florida play each other enough anymore for me to really "hate" the 'Canes - at least not as much as I do FSU or Georgia.

BTW - that Oeltjen ball was from the day he went 4-4 and needed a double to get the cycle, but hit a single instead. Got photo of him following through after hitting the triple, but no picture of the ball on bat :)

Didn't have a chance to get pictures, but my 2008 World Series Game 1 baseball from MLB Auctions came in the other day. Was excited to find out the was used from an error by Tampa Bay's Carlos Pena off a dribbler by Pat Burrell in the 5th inning. On top, Getty and AP had these great photos!

Mitch Dening Home Vest. Was worn in 2008 by him and then by other players in '09, '10. I still consider it "his" though. Interestingly enough, Jon Deeble the current Australian Team manager wore #17 as well, although not this jersey.

I love to see the increasing number of college football items.

I just picked up this game-used Gators football from the most recent American Memorabilia auction. The description and LOA says it's from a home game against Vanderbilt during the "Tebow era." Nike completed the transition to the new style balls in 2008, so that would make this ball from the '07 season - Tebow's Heisman campaign.

I was at the game and they kicked an extra point over the net into the Cincinnati fans. I had a bag at the game and I walked over there with $100 to offer for the ball. I was going to slide it into my bag and walk back to my seat on the other side of the stadium, but by the time I got over there security walked out right in front of me and made them throw it back. While I was standing there they scored again and kicked another ball in the same spot, but security hadn't left yet. I talked to the fan who caught the first one to see if he would have sold it and he said he would have just given it to me if I had got there a minute sooner. If only I hadn't hesitated.

At Auburn games when the visiting team kicks an extra point in the student section the students pass it up the stadium and toss it over into the street. Unfortunately they never played Florida when I lived there.

Just picked up a pair of PE Victorino batting glove, and a Brandon League Road Mariners Jersey. Also add a missing bat to my Hawaii position player bat collection, in Mike Huff. The Vic gloves are pretty cool and real show off the Hawaii theme. They have the Hawaiian island on the palm's and wrist and Vic's, home island of Maui is highlighted.

The eBay seller didn't even recognize it as a game-worn item, and just had it listed under "Used Clothing". Also obviously had not researched it to discover its wearer, which the League office was able to help me to do.

Consequently, I was the only bidder, and happy to have gotten a real bargain, and a very cool addition to both my Diamondbacks and Fall League collections.

6/21/11 SD @ Red Sox: 2nd Base used the entire game- David Ortiz stole second in this game. Who knows when that will ever happen again!

7/8/11 Balt @ Red Sox: 3rd Base used the entire game- David Ortiz vs Kevin Gregg brawl in the 8th inning. Josh Reddick called out after abandoning third base to join the fight.
