A few new Kurt Suzuki items and one item returning home. The mask, glove and cleats are from 2008, signed game used and all show good use. All items originated from PCM, so thats a plus. Unfortunately looks like someone cleaned the glove before the original signing, but still a great glove. the cleats show nice use and so does the mask. The bat show good use with his typical lower handle tar and back of the barrel ball marks. All and all a very nice haul for my self! Also thanks to Sam for letting some of these items go.

This is a unique jersey that has an odd "EA" patch I haven't seen on any other jerseys before. It likely is an early patch in memory of fallen teammate Eraste Autin, for whom the official "A-Ross" memorial patch was worn about halfway through the 2001 season.

Just got to taking pictures of my new pick-up, a game-used and signed ball from Brad Lidge from the 2008 season. The ball was part of his own collection from that year in which he was 48-for-48, won relief pitcher of the year and helped the Phils to the World Series title (as noted on the ball).

Got it from Lelands (via eBay) and is from the same set they auctioned/sold in 2009 from their main site. I had purchased one back in 2009, and glad to add another to the collection.

There are multiple paint transfers and team repairs which make me think that it was used for more games during the 2008 season. Texas Tech hasn't sold any Under Armour jerseys (aside from the jerseys used in the Wounded Warrior project) so this is the first one that I've seen on the open market.

OK...how does a ballhawk get a BP baseball when nothing it hit into or near the stands within 20 feet of him and nothing is thrown in within 15 feet of him?

Thanks to a very fortuitous rebound off the outfield brick wall at Wrigley Field earlier today, I ended up with #1780.

The ball was a screaming liner hit by an unidentified Nationals righty batter that smacked into the brick wall in left field about 30 feet fair...and began to roll back on a diagonal, toward the field AND towards the foul line.

I was at my usual (in the past...first time in 2011) spot directly next to the pitching mound in the Cubs bullpen. The ball, now rolling, made a direct beeline to my mitt as I reached over the wall and stuck my gloved hand on the ground.

The bat was used by #23 who would be pitcher Joey Devine. Since he's a pitcher, was there was another #23 earlier in the season, or do MiLB pitchers still get bats despite the fact that they don't bat? Can any A's experts help me out please?

I agree with Scott the Suzuki bat is awesome. It has the most tar on it than any of Kurt's bats that I have ever seen. Sure would look so nice along side of my other Suzuki bats. :D

My VY doesn't have much wear - just a couple scuffs and holes, but what sucks is just about ALL our jerseys get washed before they're ever sold.

I'm not a fan of our authentics either by any means...they're great for autographs (Got 2 Eddie Georges and a VY) but that's about it.

The first African-American player in the American League,the Hall of Fame catcher joined the Cleveland Indians about 2 weeks after Jackie Robinson came up with Brooklyn.
Great overall use, especially over the entire barrel, still shows his uni number on the knob with the factory stampings. I've always liked the look of the 50s and 60s era Adirondack bats.

The Rockies organization allows you to make a donation to their charity fund and allows you to obtain an autograph from a player of your choice on one item of your choice. The last number on the strip tag, looks like 279 would make that a set 2 jersey, they wore 3 sets of jersey's, plus spring training sets in 2007.

Attended the Otey Clark estate auction yesterday and picked up a few items but the hats were it for game used. There were a few other game used items such as baseballs and his glove but family members felt they needed to stay in the family and bid accordingly. Oddly enough, they were not interested in the hats.

Not sure on the other two. One may be from St Peter Minnesota as he played with them in 1955. Wishing the other would be a St Paul Saints but; 1) he never played with them, and 2) I don't think they ever had a logo with just an "S".

And yes, they are sitting on top of a garbage can. They stink and need to go to the cleaner before coming inside.

Also, thanks to photos I found out that one hat I have of his is not a Louisville Colonels like I was told when purchasing it, rather a 1940 LaCrosse Blackhawks hat.

In total I have seven of his hats. The above mentioned five along with a 1942 Fort Worth Cats (Texas League) and his Red Sox hat.

I would love to see the interiors of these caps! Caps aren't hard to clean once you figure out how. Be careful of older leather sweatbands though. I once had one shrivel up and rip itself right off the cap.

-Paul Giel's 1952 Prison Mirror trophy. The Prison Mirror is the oldest prison newspaper in the nation and serves Minnesota prisons (written and published by the inmates). Paul was an All-American in 52 and 53 and the runner up to the 1953 Hiesman and probably should have won it. The plaque, photo, and trophy came from his estate along w/ a number of other items.

-Bernie Bierman's University of Minnesota Hall of Fame plaque.
