LVS M9 Date's Period

Not sure if this has ever been discussed. This is the only LVS M9 in my collection. But, how can you date an M9 model to a particular period?
Any input/sources would be appreciated.

[Birdbats]

The M9 logo first appeared in mid 2004 and looked like this:

In 2009, the logo changed a little (larger "M"). That's also the year H&B started laser-etching the date into the knobs.
