Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out just how many versions of the A-Bat Granderson used during his time with Detroit. I am trying to collect at least one game used bat of each version but it's kinda hard when I really have no idea of just how many that might be. I know he used the LS M110 here and there with the Tigers but I've mostly only seen A-Bat gamers. Any info would help a ton. Here is what I've seen so far. Thanks again!!

Here is some information...italic letters on the bat were 2005 and earlier...2006 they went to block letters. 2008 the team name was removed from the bats, 2009 was 2 tone w/ the inventory number placed on the barrell also. The Granderson signature model bats, which there did seem to be a couple styles also,I was told by the Abat rep that Grandy purchased those himself to use..the others were purchased by the team. Maybe that came about w/ his deal w/ LRM where he felt he could take the bats he bought.

Dale,

Thanks for the heads up. Just seems to be so many versions of his A bats. What year do you think the 1st bat pictured is? The M110 A Bat?

I have a Granderson A-Bat from his time with the Tigers that says "Grandy" on it, so you can add that to your variations as well!
