Dallas Cowboys Gadsden GU jersey opinions

I saw someone bought this on a sports card message board, and something caused me to look into this jersey out of curiosity. The link below is to a 1995 Orande Gadsden Dallas Cowboys game used jersey.

2 things bother me with this, I wanted to see if any Cowboys GU collectors could shed any light on this item.

1. I can't find any record of Gadsden playing in a game for the Cowboys, although I see that he was on their roster, but didn't look like he suited up or played in any games.
2. I looked through quite a few photos on Getty, and none of the images I saw had any Nike jerseys in them. In fact, the jerseys had no manufacturer logos on them.

Gadsden only spent one year with the Cowboys (1995), but the Nike swoosh didn't show up on the jerseys until 1996.

It looks like an Apex tail tag has been removed. The Nike tags were a different shape. It could have been an issued jersey or one prepared for him but not used. This seller seems to come up with lots of older jerseys from players who either did not make the team or only played on a very limited basis. I have purchased from him -- most of his jerseys show very little use. I purchased a 1994 Cowboys jersey used by Willie Jackson that is a Russell brand. You can see where the name plate was changed and the Russell logos removed from the sleeves -- the Cowboys used Apex in 1994. It has the 75th anniversary patch. He never saw any playing time for the Cowboys and in 1995 was picked up by the Jaguars. The only time he wore it was in the team picture -- I have been able to match it to that picture.

Gadsden was also with the Cowboys for the 1996 preseason. The Nike logos were probably added for then.

The seller has a couple of decent jerseys ending today. Thought I'd mention them in case there are forum members looking to pick up a Cowboys jersey cheap.

#35 Wendell Davis was a reserve DB for the Cowboys 1996-99. This jersey is probably like the Gadsden jersey. The Apex tag was removed and the Nike logos were added to the sleeves for the 1996 season.

#66 Tony Hutson was a backup Guard for the Cowboys 1997-99. Looks like this one maybe has some wear.

Also, if there are any Cal Bear collectors reading this, #21 is probably Lindsey Chapman. He signed very briefly with the Cowboys in September 1994. Long enough to have an old Russell jersey made up with his name.
