I have two Tejada jerseys, one Athletics and the other Orioles. The front flaps of the jerseys have been cut off. Any idea why that would be?

Some players will trim the front or both tails to avoid abrasions from buttons when they slide head first. Tejada has been known to do that, as has Rickey Henderson on a large number of his gamers (though not all).
