Curious on your thoughts on the value of a MLB authenticated game used World Series baseball.

Obviously, if it was used during a clinching game, final out, homerun or significant play, etc.... it would add value.

But wondering what the value would be for an item like that. Just a regular game used baseball from a World Series from the last 5 years....

I have seen on Phillies auctions, 08 and 09 balls going for over $500. And the balls didn't have "major" significance that I recall. I know Steiner still is trying to sell balls form 2009 in the four-figure range.

I guess it depends on the collector as to price. Sorry not much help, just wanted to add what I did know.

As a Cubs fan, could one of you please tell me what this "World Series" is that you speak of?:p

I have one from each game of the 06 World Series. If I remember correctly I paid right around $500 each for games 1-4 and got lucky and picked up a game 5 ball for right around $200-$250 on Ebay. All 5 were MLB authenticated. I would like to pick up a different ball from game 5 as the one I bought was signed by Magglio Ordonez, and I am a Cardinals fan.

I was figuring around $500, but wanted to see other's opinions...
