Seems these are pretty tough to find. Anybody know how many a given player may use during a season. My guess is 1 or 2. Seems only a couple teams use alternate style helmets. The only one's I can think of right now are the Chargers and Cowboys (they used White helmet, blue star with there alternate jersey last night). Do they have a helmet just for games and different one for practice? I just remember when I was kid, big Dave Butz of the Redskins had the most beat up helmet I've ever seen. He had to have used that one helmet for a few season's. I had to buy an 8x10 of him with it, because it's one of my first memories from NFL. Not sure, but do teams just recycle helmets for a few seasons.
